Nancy's story
“I could have lost my entire family yesterday.”
It was a sunny evening in October when Nancy’s husband, David, hit the road with their three children in tow. The routine was the same: After work, David would drive across town on a two-lane road to pick up his children from school and bring them home. He and the children were riding in their minivan, on their way home, when the unthinkable happened. A driver heading in the opposite direction turned left without signaling or awaiting her turn. The consequences were devastating.
David’s minivan, which was going 55 mph—the speed limit on that road—struck the other vehicle’s front passenger side which caused the van to go off the road. Ahead, directly in its out-of-control trajectory, was a ditch. The minivan ran into the ditch which caused it to flip over and crash into a tree.
The children – four-year-old twin girls and a one-year-old boy—were hysterical. David didn’t hesitate. He jumped out of his window and quickly pulled his children from the passenger window in the back.
When David examined his children, he couldn’t believe it. Not one of them was seriously harmed. During the minivan’s crazed course, the car seats and boosters did their job, keeping the children properly harnessed in and anchoring them to the vehicle’s safety system. David and Nancy’s precious little angels walked away from the accident with only minor seatbelt bruising.
Nancy was floored. After the accident, she contacted the Customer Care team at Harmony Juvenile to express her gratitude.

I am so thankful for your awesome products as all 4 of my loved ones walked away from a crash that should have killed them with only bruising caused from seatbelts or harnesses. “Stay up-to-date on the car seat safety. Don’t pass up those little articles that you see passing up online when you’re on Facebook. Don’t be like: ‘Oh yes, I already know that.’ Definitely read it. It seems like very general information—like common sense and stuff like that—but it’s extremely important.”
